Discussion 116 of 365; Tough Questions If you ask the really tough question of our municipality it seems three things might happen. You may learn more about the topic at hand. What you learn may not always be encouraging information, but you can learn. I have and I’m thankful when that happens. You may be ignored. Sometimes THAT provides the clearest answer. These are frustrating because you are left making unchallenged presumptions and unfortunately sometimes that means presuming the worst. You may be threatened that town staff will no longer answer your emails. I have had all three happen. The sad part is that most “silent treatment” comes from our elected representatives. A couple have responded initially, but when pushed for real answers…. Silence. I will share some specific examples when I issue individual Council Report Cards in a few weeks.
