Blue Beach lies
So this morning I was drinking my coffee and reading emails and someone asked me “what happened to our vaunted Blue Beach status?”. It was in reference to the latest post I made about our town’s declining online reputation.I checked at swimdrinkfish.ca and lo, we are off the list. This is a WTF moment.It is an international award given to beaches in over 49 countries that meet a series of criteria of quality, safety, hygiene, provision of services and care for the environment. We were awarded it in 2007 and held it up until last year. What happened and why is the town no on this?
