Wasaga Beach Discussion 240 of 365; Get to work now A good starting point! In the last few weeks no less than 3 people have had serious conversations with me about becoming a member of Council. In at least two of those conversations, the focus was on how to win an election. My advice was (and always will be) to instead focus on the responsibilities of Council. If you truly feel you have what it takes to properly and completely fulfill those responsibilities, there are plenty of people who will help you WIN an election. Sadly, there are people who feel it is the other way around and that if you win an election, you can then do the job as you please.
