Unify to heal?
Discussion 96 of 365; I said Wasaga Beach needed to unify in order to heal the divide. The reality is that there will always be some divide, as long as there are decisions that will cost some and profit others. However, when groups of people come together to support a project that is important to a large segment of our population, relationships are forged that last a lifetime. (WDI was proof of that.). Wasaga Beach traditionally had two golf courses that serviced the recreational needs of our community for years. With the closing of the Wasaga Sands Golf Course and Development plans for Marlwood, the recreational landscape is changing. In order for these recreational properties to be converted into hundreds of millions of dollars in housing, our Town Council will have to allow zoning changes.
