OUR Celebration?
Discussion 69 of 365; So, was the party week at the TPAL actually organized for Wasaga Beach Residents to enjoy a grand opening combined with our 50th anniversary celebration, or was it simply a handful of parties and concerts to prove to an adoring following, that these parties can and will go on as long as Mayor Smith wants them to continue. They actually want to form a separate Municipal Party Corporation. Yes… your taxes will be directed to whatever 70’s and 80’s celebrations Brian Smith chooses. I think it is wrong to go this path. I also think that true financial reporting is essential! I understand that recently on a radio interview, Mayor Smith said out of town people were targeted for these events. In the Deputy CAO’s flawed report it also said 50% of attendees were from out of town. Why is that [...]
