During the Special Budget meeting of October 14, I was entertained by a very pretty Power Point presentation. It was filled with all kinds of nice photographs and images that visually painted a really cool, happy budget presentation. Go to YouTube to watch the presentation…. or, open the attached Actual Budget (starting on page 9) and discuss some of the details. I wanted to focus on one aspect of the draft budget. Reserves! Estimated opening reserves- $43 Million! Estimated balance at end of 2025- $29 Million! Check out the “Obligatory Reserve Fund; Development Charges.”- Opening at just over 5 Mill, Adding just under 5 Mill, but spending almost all $10,127,520.00 of it!
