Following the town’s truth report that outlines exactly how wrong Faye Ego’s statement through the Ratepayers Association about the beachfront development, Faye continues to ignore the truth and now deliberately lies to Wasaga Beach. When I first posted on this I pondered whether she was in some way confused or addled about what is going on. A new day dawns and the lies are still up there. At both the top of the website and the Facebook page. I’m unaware if shame has caused MaxFM to take down the toxic radio ad.

That she should pursue such a path is unsurprising. Lacking the scandals of the last election she must manufacture her own mud to throw on the wall or they will go into the next election with the incumbents having done a pretty good job.

My question today is to ask the …(cough) 500 members she claims if they were at any point notified about this spending, the costs or the direction of this anti council campaign? Further to this, (and I have asked this before) has any member seen a financial statement? A ballot for the board members? A list of members? All these are required for a non profit corporation. All these are tightly kept secrets.

This information is important for more than mere curiosity. Faye Ego and her compatriots often make speeches claiming to represent the body of their members, and at the last council meeting Faye herself claimed a membership of 500, however as I noted at the beginning of this post Faye and the truth may not always meet. If for example she proudly extolled her virtues on behalf of a couple of dozen members it would indicate she represents a splinter group and should not be given the attention she thinks she deserves.

The membership list is also vital for another important legal reason: A nonprofit cannot financially benefit its members. This means they cannot pay for either candidates or third party advertisers in the next election if they are members. Another good reason for her to not publish her membership list.

With over a year to go before we can even think of campaigns for the next election her RatePayers Association has already backed Georgio Mammoliti’s attempt at Mayor. If you are a member, let that sink in. Your money (and as a member of a non profit, you are essentially a shareholder) is going to support Mammoliti. Of course my next question… is Mammoliti now or was he ever a member of WBRA?

Now, lies. I could of course be lying myself, but everything I have said can be verified by a short Google search. You see they have to keep throwing lies up against the wall, but the truth sticks.
