Open Mic?
How wonderful. The Town is going to hold an open mic session at the RecPlex. You can get all of the answers you want there. Of course they won’t answer your emails, but that’s different.
Personally I think it’s interesting that they are suggesting people may want answers on a road project. Hmmmmm, where was that issue ever spoken about? Um, no… not at a Council meeting. Oh yeh…. Here!
I will look for screenshots of how the Brian Smith supporters were bragging about controlling these sessions by making anyone asking tough questions feel unwelcome. I expect that smug crowd to be there.
I even have video of threats being made to my wife and another lady at the back of the room years ago at one of there open mic sessions. Mayor Smith was aware of this behaviour and did NOTHING.
If I have time I will be there. I sure hope ALL residents are treated with respect this time.
Thank you to the three or four people who have sent me a copy of the post. Being blocked from the Towns Facebook page, means I would not have seen this otherwise.
What questions would you ask?
- The new Catholic School, what is the actual cost to town?
- How will students be admitted? Will there be a lottery?
- What members of Council and Staff attended a $1000 per person fund raiser hosted by the Minister of Education a few weeks ago if any?
- If they did attend, who paid? What was discussed?
- What is Councils position on Wasaga Sands Development?
- Will homeowners who bought properties they reasonably thought would be on green space now have 5 townhouses on their fence line? Has the $500,000.00 been transferred to the new entertainment corporation? What process will there be for the hiring in the four positions budgeted for $427,000.00 a year?
- How many new positions in total have been created since this Council took office?
- What is coming to Beach One?
- What is planned for Beach Two?
- Is the Town really selling Municipal parking lots?
- Why are we wasting money studying moving Town Hall to Main Street?
- Can we get an accurate complete financial report on the Towns Medical Clinic?
- Can we have access to how EVERY council member is spending their expense account every year?
- Has our Mayor reconsidered how to properly address staff members avoiding labels like “Lovely”?
- Is the town getting closer to the promise of removing snow from everyone’s Windrows?
- What is happening to the old arena?
- The Cook Farmhouse is starting to look unsafe in an area where our kids play. Wil it be made safe or demolished?
- Will the town dedicate Casino Money to building new parks or adding splash pads to existing parks for 5 years?
