Wasaga Beach Discussion 222 of 365; Dog Days of Summer “The Dog Days of Summer”There are all kinds of good explanations for this phrase. Sure they are the hottest days, but I was prompted to write about DOGS tonight because of our weekend away in Ottawa. Normally, heading to our Nations Capital for a weekend would first mean a trip to the kennel to sign in our much loved canine family members. But, now that we are a single dog family once again, we decided to take our Baxter with us. It is all good news in relation to his time away. We found a pet friendly hotel right downtown. The staff were very pet friendly. He wandered through the Byward Market with us and we found a nice patio to lunch on.
