Secret pecuniary interests?

There are two Council meetings Thursday. The link in this discussion shows you the “Special” Council meeting that is happening.

I admit I sometimes get confused by the content of these “secret” in camera meetings.

So, before the Council goes in camera, they declare if they have a pecuniary interest. GREAT, that should be a public declaration.

But then it appears that once “in camera” and the public is excluded, there is an agenda item IN the in camera session called “pecuniary interest”.

So, is there another declaration happening that we are not privy to, or… is the Council discussing potential pecuniary interests. Why would this be secret regardless of what it is concerning?

There are two other items after the second “pecuniary interest” items. One is in respect to 10 Club Court. The other is a “Community Risk Assessment”.

Hmmmm… 10 Club Court is the TWIN CREEKS Golf Course that is undergoing an active planning process to change much of the land to residential zoning to allow hundreds of homes to be built.

Then immediately following that item the community risk assessment is next. Are the two related? Do the two have anything to do with a Council Pecuniary Conflict? So many questions.

I’m sure, there will be a rising report. What’s that phrase… yeh, “direction has been given to staff”. Anyone think we might hear that?

Anyhow…. Don’t be distracted by the secret stuff, wait till you see what’s in the regular meeting. lol.
