Sure, check out some of the spending as there are several line that raise my eyebrows.

When our discussions get spilled into some groups, often the same old Council Support Group get nasty and launch personal attacks not related to the topic at hand. They almost always say, “do you think you really make a difference?” The answer is yes.

Recently, my wife Sylvia Bray sent an email to the treasurer asking for the cheque registers to be forwarded in an alternate format. It is what is posted at the bottom of every cheque register…. Or at least, it “was.”

The answer she got was no, she was told that the line at the bottom was meant to indicate you could have it in an alternate font. lol

So, the interest we have drummed up here has created change. Allowing the cheque registers to be analyzed easily may be something the Council does not want, so why make it easy. I’m certain the registers are created in a database format, and then converted to the pdf format.

So…. One of the new citizen working groups has quickly stepped forward and shared that they can and will convert all of the cheque registers.

Maybe we will make these available to the public. Either way, the Town has changed the note at the bottom of the cheque register to indicate if you want a larger font, you can have it.
