Wasaga Council cutting beach access

People are getting “Private Property” warnings again apparently.

I was sent the attached page with a message saying a resident received it in their mailbox today. Apparently page 2 reminds them to abide by private property signs.

Anyone else that has one please share page 2.

So… I went to my mail box. I haven’t received one of these. Is everyone getting one or are they being selectively distributed?

If the Town is truly looking into property issues, I hope they soon announce the public input sessions. I can’t wait to see certain documents presented to them that they SHOULD already have.

Maybe there are some legal minds out there that can answer a couple of questions:

If you have a deed, but that deed was obtained improperly, can that deed be disregarded?
If the Town is supposed to own land that others have claimed, should the Town fund the legal battle to reclaim ALL land it should hold title to.
If the land was conveyed with a condition of public access forever, can anyone just “claim” that land?

It’s all pretty straight forward depending on who is showing you the paper trail.

These letters… are they targeting a specific area? Shouldn’t the entire community be kept up to date?

This issue, as I have said before has the very real potential to shape access policies from one end of the beach to the other.

Demand a full and proper investigation!

Beach access is not just for the rich and powerful!
