VESTING

Ok, with all that has been discussed recently with the various Beach Access Paths and Private Property signs popping up every where, I wanted to see if anyone would consider assisting to get an injunction against the Town of Wasaga Beach?

(I am not going to head this up. I have to many things on my plate right now. However, I will assist in assembling the interested parties and gathering information.)
TIME IS IF THE ESSENCE!

The clock is ticking!

There was a “Special” Council Meeting earlier today and an important item was on the agenda… “Allenwood Beach Vesting Order”.
It was discussed behind closed doors “in camera” and the rising report when they came out to the public meeting gave NO indication of what it was in regards to.
So I have done a little research and a vesting order is a process to transfer property title in certain circumstances. So, here are the concerns;
  • Will the Town of Wasaga Beach transfer title of property/ properties they presently control without public input?
  • Has the Town of Wasaga Beach done all of the extensive research required in relation to ownership of property/ properties out at Allenwood Beach?
  • Is the Town legally able to convey whatever property they are considering, or were conditions applied to earlier agreements that are binding?
  • Have the original plans of subdivision been reviewed? Have all conveyances been reconciled?
Trust me when I say… there are a lot of valid concerns… there are a lot of documents!
Now, I will caution everyone to use restraint and care in responding to this discussion post. Why? I have been accused of defamation – libel by the Town for my comments recently. I have received a cease and desist order based on a post I shared. However, I have never posted anything I know to be untrue, so I will continue. But be careful not to become the next target.
Today, (with the above caution in mind), I have a question for everyone reading this. Is it time to get a court order to stop any vesting of Allenwood property? Should any “vesting” pause until the citizens who have used this beach for 150 years have ensured they will have their say? Is it time for citizens affected (basically everyone) band together and seek a restraining order?

Don’t feel safe responding here?
Simple… send me a personal message on messenger or an email m.winegarden@rogers.com

With our Council instructing staff behind closed doors to do something we are not privy to know, TIME may be of the essence.
Before I close today’s discussion, I want to share that many people are (rightfully) concerned about the costs of such actions. But for a moment, think of the potential costs of not doing something. How many real estate listings are there right now, that have “beach access xx minutes away”. How much value will be lost if that clause can no longer be an attractive feature.

Almost all of the documents you have seen shared on Facebook in recent days have been obtained by one person who has become very motivated recently to protect beach access for all. I will do what I can to aide him in his research and his protection of beach access for all. What could the power of many contribute to such an important cause?
