I am lucky to be a tour guide to my Sister in Law and her husband for a couple of weeks. Tonight after dinner I said let’s head to the beach to watch the sunset.

They were astounded at what a beautiful sky we were presented with. The reality is that tonight’s sunset was intriguing, but not one of our spectacular ones.

It caused me to reflect on how little our town would have to spend to promote Wasaga Beach as Ontarios Sunset Capital. There would be all kinds of commerce opportunities. Of particular interest would be the ability to have people out at the beaches into the evening.

Imagine selfie stations. You could include camera/ phone holders and printed tips for the ideal framing or even creative camera setting suggestions.

You could even have a phone manufacturer or camera manufacturer sponsor the selfie stations.

Why aren’t ideas like this raised by our Council? I guess it’s an idea that doesn’t cost enough. Who knows… maybe it’s time for 7 new, creative people who also know how to save money!
