Waste, Waste, Waste!

Sometimes I think our Council and CAO ignore their own decisions simply because they want something different a week later.

The attached agenda item was voted on and passed in March of 2024. Sure, many of us laughed when they said they were going to build a new town hall, but they agreed to do an Request For Expressions of Interest and to conduct a high level study on building a new town hall.

All spending on renovations at Town Hall were to be suspended until it was completed.

But wait… our FRUGAL CAO and other staff have spent Thousands, possibly hundreds of thousand to modify the old library and move into their new facility.

Was the business case ever presented? Did any persons respond to the RFEOI? So many questions, but we are not privy to the answers without pushing.

How MUCH did the Town spend on the old library and what costs were taken in Town Hall for these moves?
