Is this the crowds Brian Smith boasts about when he claims tourism is up to its highest levels? This Council has spent way too much money and time promoting concerts. Sure… have a free concert and everyone will flock to the beach. But what about promoting the sun and the sand?

What is the cause of these reduced numbers? I won’t even throw my suggestions out there today. What I will say is that when the media provides our Mayor an opportunity to boast about what a great community we have, it is a massive mistake to say “no comment”.

I’m thinking these crowds from 12:34 today are about 1/5 of what we would have seen any other year.
