Where does the Mayor live?

Who remembers 001 of 365? Here we are at 260 and it is still a discussion I think is worthy of re-living.

Discussion 001 started with;

“Should the law in Ontario be changed so that those seeking to run for office must “live” in the community they want to preside over? “

Well, 260 days later it is still a valid question. People back then, (and I am sure a certain following now) said it was important. Despite people expressing concern, he continues misrepresenting himself.

At the Town Hall, Open Mike or whatever it was called on the 19th of September, the Mayor said he has lived here all of his life… “born and raised”.

But has he lived “HERE” all of his life? I know that during this term of office (presently I believe) and during his election campaign, he has been living in Tiny Township. I was told he has also lived in Ottawa, or the Ottawa area for a period of time.

Look, I wouldn’t normally care where he lives. After all, the Province says he is eligible to be our Mayor no matter where he lives. But when he sits on stage and makes these bold claims in order to strengthen his response to someone asking a question… well it should cause everyone concern.

What else will he say just to strengthen public opinion of himself? I have no doubt he will sell his home up in Tiny and move here prior to the next election. Then, will he will find a clever way to re-phrase his claim of living here all of his life?

It’s just disappointing that he thinks so little of the residents of Wasaga Beach that he doesn’t think these things matter.
