YET AGAIN. DO NOT SELL WDI!

Well, our Council gave themselves big wage increases and it seems they are taking a few weeks off. My suggestion to the entire community is to pay attention to the January and February agendas.

On Jan. 30, 2025 there will be a “Special” Council Meeting. This will be a shareholders meeting for Geosands Inc. (Mother Company for Wasaga Distribution).

It is paramount that people start talking about this meeting. It was at a shareholders meeting where the last Brian Smith Council launched their attempt to sell WDI.

Will it happen again? Nobody outside of Brian Smiths inner circle knows for sure, but there is talk of the possibility of it happening again.

One concerning factor has been the big changes to the composition of the various boards of directors at all Hydro boards. BRIAN SMITH CONTROLS THIS!

Just remember, Brian Smith has said that this time around he will do things so fast people won’t realize what has happened until it’s too late. He has proven he meant it.

I won’t be around for the weeks leading up to the Special Council meeting, but I do hope EVERYONE watches the agendas when they come out so you can all read the reports as they are released.

Our Council is spending more money than any Council before them. They are funding concerts with tax dollars and they are selling off town assets to fund their pet projects.

One asset that they KNOW they can quickly raise considerable cash with is our Hydro Utility. This time around though they will have a massive public relations campaign prepared. It will be designed to tell you it is the best decision.

So… start your own research. Pay close attention, not only to what is happening now, but also to the lies they told during the last election.

Don’t listen to the Brian Smith supporters and Fake ID’s who say WDI was never for sale. It was. Brian Smith actually voted to sell it as a Board Member. He clearly shared this action in an open Council meeting. However, he also said his “fiduciary responsibility” was different as a director on the board than it was as our Mayor.

When you look at the secret movement in so many directions these last two years, it is a very real possibility we will soon be forced to organize another resistance movement to “SAVE WDI”.
