What has Brian Smith done for you lately?

Well, in 2018, he decided to cover all of the Towns Property at Beach two with a townhouse Condominium project. That contributed to his loss in the next election.

So, why not engage the same developer and just have them move the entire project over onto Beach One property, maybe even make it bigger. The public won’t mind that will they?

The irony in all of this is his supporters actually believe him when his team says this will increase tourism. PLEASE start to question what they are telling you. Yeh… hundreds of people driving up to their private condo with a kitchen are likely to spend more that day trippers at local stops. I can’t wait to see the look on peoples faces when they drive up to see Wasaga Beach and instead see Wasaga Beach Condos. The small private roads inside the complex will all have to be named. I hope there are at least 7 so Council can each get a road named after them so nobody EVER forgets who built private homes on what was once public property. I’m guessing they might even purchase waterfront homes there.

I hope to get down to shoot a short video at Beach One to demonstrate how many “tourist” parking spots will be replaced with “private property, do not enter” signs.

Now I’m sure they will say there will be plenty of parking, but go for a ride, go into the parking lot and have a look. From several vantage points, have an actual look! Look towards the water from a variety of spots, then close your eyes and imagine townhouses.

Oh, did I mention that at the other end of Beach One they will re-open what we now know as the pedestrian mall to vehicular traffic again. Lol. I included an old winter shot of our historic Main Street for those potential condo buyers.

Start to say goodby to the Wasaga you know. Tic toc…. Apparently demolition of major buildings and tearing up roads starts in the fall.
